Introduction
Welcome to Photo Widget - Living Gallery. Your privacy is critically important to us. This policy explains how our application handles your data, what permissions we require, and how we use third-party analytics and advertising tools to provide a premium widget experience.
Data Collection
We believe in a "Privacy First" approach. Photo Widget does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal photos or gallery images to external servers. All photo processing and widget selection happen locally on your device. However, to help us improve the app and support its free version, we collect limited non-personal usage and device diagnostics data via third-party services.
Permissions & Usage
To function correctly, the app requires the following permissions:
- Gallery/Storage Access: Used exclusively to allow you to select photos from your device to display in widgets. We do not "read" your entire gallery; we only access the specific images you choose.
- Schedule Exact Alarm: Required for the "Living Gallery" feature to update your home screen widgets at precise intervals (e.g., changing the photo every hour).
- Background Processing: Ensures your widgets stay updated even when the app is not actively open in the foreground.
- Internet Access: Required to communicate with third-party services for app event analytics, in-app purchases, and showing advertisements in the free version.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID): Used by Google AdMob and Meta SDK to identify your device for tracking analytics events and delivering relevant ads.
Third-Party Services
We partner with third-party services to support the continued development, maintenance, and monetization of the app. These services include:
- Meta SDK (Facebook SDK): Used for app event tracking and analytics. It helps us measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and understand how users interact with the app (such as app installs, activations, launches, and customized in-app events). Meta collects device-specific information (such as OS version, hardware model, and advertising identifiers) in accordance with its privacy policies. You can learn more by visiting the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob: Used in the free version of the app to serve advertisements. AdMob collects and uses device advertising IDs to show personalized and relevant ads to you. You can read the Google Privacy Policy for details.
- Google Play Billing: Used for processing in-app purchases or pro subscription upgrades. We do not collect or store your payment details; all transactions are processed securely by Google.
Your personal gallery photos and local widget configurations remain completely private and are never shared with these third-party services.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since our third-party advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta and Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers and usage metrics, we recommend parental guidance and configuring appropriate device settings to restrict ad tracking.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
